Japan is a land of beautiful islands and a rising sun. The excellent climate is due to 73% of forestry. Population density is very high. It is the 3rd largest country in manufacturing cars in the world. It is an advance in the high technology of electronics and shipbuilding. Japanese are diligent people. They only enjoy 10 days of holidays in a year. The nation has a special word “Karoshi” that means ‘ work over death’. This word is the secret of Japan’s prosperity. The migration policy of the country is very tough. Housing and education are very expensive. Japanese hardly invite guests to their houses. Life expectancy rate is 83.7 years.

The most important information of this modest and peaceful nation is the low crime rate ratio. The crime ratio of any country depicts the character and social setup. It also shares a picture of the law and order situation. A peaceful and fear-free environment attracts the world to visit the place. You will be surprised to go through the very low crime ratio. A Ministry of Justice 2020 white paper on crime has revealed that Japan’s number for stated criminal offences cut down from the previous year by 8.4% to 749,000 cases. The murder ratio is less than 3% which is the lowest in the world.

A sense of Moral obligation

Japan is a traditionalist society. Most people like to stick with deep-rooted styles and manners set by noble peers. They feel proud to be a follower of old traditions. People who do not show interest in typical speaks are looked down upon. Children are trained in morality from childhood. It is done by golden-agers of families. Children are taught what is morally right and what is wrong. There are three centers of this education the family, friends and neighbours. This qualification of tender age helps Japanese society to reduce aggression.

Gun ownership and Gun controls

More firearms in society cause more crimes, restlessness and fears. Japan has a strict policy regarding the possession of weapons. Japanese law says,

“No person shall possess a firearm or firearms or a sword or swords.”

The Gun control system in the country is very active. Written tests are conducted to know the person’s ability to have guns. Severe background checks are always in action. A mental fitness test allows the system to regularize the gun holder’s health status. Gun holders have to update police about the location of weapon and he has to go under training program after every three years.

Efficient police Role

The police role is very important in maintaining this situation. Mostly the police is much friendly with tourists and the common public. Their courtesy is famous but at the same time police has a zero-tolerance policy against crimes. It carries a 95% confession rate after the arrest. There is a 98% murder case solved ratio. Police has a very active role to make students law-abiding citizens.Police remains in constant contact with their parents always . They alert the parent’s community about their children’s social activities. The conviction rate is also very high.

Low poverty and unemployment rate

Poverty is the biggest reason for crimes in any society.

The majority of Japanese (85%) think that they belong to the middle class of society. They believe in honor and thinking about their earnings. They are not snobbish mostly. Government has progressive economic policies that maintain the living standards of common people.

The unemployment rate is only 3.7%. This is the biggest cause of the low crime rate there. In japan seeking a job is not so difficult. Technical and skilled educational background encourages the youth to find their suitable place in the market. Most people support their parents. Due to good economic condition, no frustration is there.

Homogeneous social structure

The informal control system of society, those of families, neighborhood, school and workplace is very active and cooperative. It is considered shameful to be called a liar and a thief. Japan family system is very strong and intact. Thought patterns and behavior patterns are identical. Lifestyle is almost similar and traditional. All this never allow morally to be illegal.

Japanese social, economic, legal, educational and behavioral fabric is so powerful that encourages only positivity. It is a shining example for those societies who want to come forward to lead the world.
